These Terms govern your use of MindSteer. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Nature of the Service
MindSteer provides self-guided cognitive behavioral wellness exercises, mood tracking, and educational content for personal development and emotional self-management.
2. No Professional or Emergency Care
- The Service is not a substitute for licensed medical or mental health professionals.
- Do not rely on the app for crisis intervention or emergencies.
- If you may be in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services immediately.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required by your local law) to use MindSteer. If you are below the age of majority, use requires legally valid parental/guardian authorization.
4. Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining account credential security.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, data, or other user accounts.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with platform security or integrity.
- Upload harmful code, malware, or content that infringes third-party rights.
6. User Content
You keep ownership of content you enter into MindSteer. You grant MindSteer the rights necessary to host, process, sync, and display that content only to operate the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
The app, design, brand elements, software, text, structure, and content (except your own content) are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
8. Third-Party Services
MindSteer may rely on third-party services (for example Firebase, Google, Facebook) to provide authentication, hosting, analytics, and diagnostics. Their terms and privacy notices may also apply.
9. Human-Made Service and AI Assistance
MindSteer is created by humans for humans. Some parts of the app, its content production, or its software development workflow may be assisted by AI tools. Any such use does not change the nature of the Service as a human-directed product.
10. Service Changes and Availability
MindSteer may modify features, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time for maintenance, security, legal, or product reasons.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MindSteer and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from use of the Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to MindSteer in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) EUR 100.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MindSteer and its operator from claims, damages, liabilities, and costs arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
14. Termination and Deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the app. MindSteer may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security/legal risk.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of Spain.
For users acting in a business or professional capacity (non-consumers), the courts of Madrid, Spain have exclusive jurisdiction. Such users irrevocably submit to those courts and waive any objection based on venue or forum non conveniens, to the extent permitted by law.
If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection and jurisdiction rules applicable in your place of residence may apply and will prevail where legally required. Where those mandatory rules do not apply, exclusive jurisdiction remains with the courts of Madrid, Spain.
16. Changes to Terms
MindSteer may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
